LOVE ON YOUR SKIN
Self oil massage is perhaps one of the most nourishing ways we can honor our bodies & minds. Because we’re all part of the hustle, the ether and air elements within our bodies are elevated & craving to be soothed. By calming these elements within us, the practice of self oil massage hydrates the skin, lubricates the joints, improves digestion and relaxes the nervous system.
Let this be your moment to arrive home in your body.
Before or after you bathe, anoint yourself head to toe in EVERY BODY. Adore every curve and line of your body with loving touch, inviting a renewed sense of calm and vitality. After you are fully covered, massage your joints in circular motions and use long strokes on your limbs to soothe your skin and muscles, always moving the blood toward your heart. Allow your skin to fully absorb the oil before stepping in to a warm bath or shower. You may also use this oil after your shower as a hydrating ritual.

Sunflower Seed Oil, derived from the radiant sunflower plant, is a light yet super hydrating oil that is excellent for all constitutions and skin types. Sunflower seed oil is high in omega-6 (linoleic) fatty acid, which helps decrease redness and inflammation of the skin, and enhances the development of new skin cells. Rich in nutrients and antioxidants, Sunflower oil is effective for addressing skincare issues like acne, eczema and dermatitis. This versatile oil glides smoothly on and absorbs easily into the skin, creating a gentle protective barrier without leaving any oily build-up. Its emollient properties help remove dead cells and impurities, leaving behind smooth, moisturized and glowing skin.
Jojoba Oil, derived from a shrub native to southern Arizona, southern California and North West Mexico, is actually a liquid plant wax that has been used by Native Americans for treating sores, wounds and bruises for centuries. Because jojoba (pronounced hoh-hoh-bah) is a wax, not an oil, it a non-comedogenic emollient, meaning it doesn’t clog pores nor feel greasy as it soothes and moisturizes the skin. This desert wax helps the production of the acid mantle, balancing the pH that protects skin from harmful bacteria. Jojoba is high in vitamins and minerals that support healthy, healed and youthful skin such as Vitamin E, B-complex, zinc, copper, selenium, chromium and high levels of iodine.
Marula Oil comes from the nut of the fruit of the marula tree, which is native to Africa and is quite hardy and prolific. The oil, which has a nutty, rich aroma, is high in monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats, as well as tocopherols, vitamin C, flavonoids, sterols, and other antioxidants. It is excellent for treating chronic inflammation, acne, wrinkles, premature aging, high stress, blemishes, sunburn, and dry skin. Its high concentration of antioxidants and essential fatty acids like omegas - 6 and -9 protect your skin from distress caused by environmental factors such as sun, wind and pollution, which means it helps to prevent premature aging.
Moringa Seed Oil is derived from the vitamin and nutrient-dense tropical moringa plant. Revered in Ayurveda, every part of this plant — from seeds, flowers, root to its bark— boasts numerous phytonutrients, amino acids, and high-value minerals that support its healing properties. Known for its extremely high antioxidant content, moringa is treasured for its ability to prevent oxidative damage linked to aging and counter the effects of free radicals. The Vitamin C and deep moisturizing properties of the fatty acid content make it perfect for boosting collagen, helping to reduce fine lines, dark spots and sagging skin. Moringa oil also has plant hormones called cytokinins that help promote cellular growth and prevent destruction of skin tissues.
Vitamin E (tocopherol) is crucial in the prevention of damage to sensitive skin cells by the sun's ultraviolet light because of its powerful antioxidant properties. Studies have shown that vitamin E may also prevent scarring, smooth the appearance of existing wrinkles and generally improve the appearance and health of the skin.
The oil of Sandalwood is an ancient and sacred scent that is beneficial for calming and clearing the mind, which is why it has been used in ceremonies and meditation for centuries, particularly in India. A deeply arousing and sensual oil, sandalwood is an aphrodisiac that invites us to connect more deeply with ourselves and those around us. With its high antioxidant content, it also helps prevent damage from environmental toxins and slows aging.
The oil of Cypress has also been used for centuries by ancient cultures, as it is mood uplifting, refreshing and balancing to the nervous system. In addition to its restorative properties, Cypress is also purifying, supports easeful breathing and may help with the reduction of cellulite.

Moon Bath's Moringa Oil source was born out of a desire to take on the daily challenges faced by smallholder farmers in Ghana who previously didn’t have access to capital, quality inputs, technical training, or guaranteed markets. Since becoming established, the company has increased farmers income by 10 times through a proprietary extraction system that adds value and jobs on the ground. Today, the organization serves over 5,000 small farming families, and has planted over 2,000,000 trees. The moringa tree, known as “the miracle tree” in Ghana, can be intercropped with subsistence crops, which mitigates risk to farmers.
Marula Oil often provides one of the only sources of income for rural women of Namibia, empowering them and helping their communities to thrive. For generations women in rural Namibian communities have been using traditional techniques drying Marula kernels in the sun and then cracking them open to extract and produce Marula oil for their family use, and now they have the opportunity to earn an income doing it. Thanks to women’s leadership in the business, sustainability practices have been implemented that help ensure Marula trees are available for future generations, and to decrease the global carbon footprint of their industry.
Moon Bath's Sandalwood, Santalum austrocaledonicum Vieill., is a relative of the famous and endangered sandalwood from Mysore, India, but is sourced from New Caledonia, where the government carefully oversees the sandalwood plantations. The trees are never sprayed with chemicals, and for every one tree that is harvested, five are planted.
Moon Bath's Vitamin E (Tocopherol) is among the only Vitamin E available that is non-synthetic, yet derived from non-GMO plant sources. This deeply nourishing ingredient is extracted from rapeseed rather than the typical soy plant.
For every bottle of this oil purchased, Moon Bath donates $1 to Annunciation House, which has been aiding the migrant, homeless and economically vulnerable people of the border since 1978. Based in El Paso, Texas, Annunciation House welcomes guests into their network of shelters, assuring them that they will have a bed, food, and a safe and welcoming environment for at least this small part of their journey. The people who come to the doors of their houses know what poverty is in a way that most of us will never understand.
